Vickie believes in self evolution and that learning and evolving what she knows is the back bone to her 25 year old equine business. Vickie's equine education started in the leather shop repairing and make new saddles, giving her an unique understanding to how saddles fit and their leverage points on the horse. Vickie moved on from the leather shop once her therapy business went full time. On her "office days", Vickie does research to support her equine osteopathy technique evolution.
Vickie’s passion for helping animals is evident as she explains the anatomy function and disfunction to her patient’s owners. Vickie doesn’t only help animals with the techniques she learned from several different schools, including human, but she truly is constantly evolving what she knows and strives to do better by building unique knowledge by dissecting different species and closely analyzing their bodies.
Vickie is known for her Trauma Method that aids in animals reducing their window of tolerance and be able to accept life at a slower pace. She is passing on this profound knowledge of the equine survival response through her online clinics, www.hails.ca. That uses modern equine osteopathy techniques to reduce the horse's window of tolerance.
On her down time Vickie loves riding her horse, Jade and having the cutest dog ever, Buddie along for the ride.
Vickie's knowledge of anatomy is outstanding, she built this knowledge by preforming dissections on canines and equines. Through careful analyzing of each body she learned from, Vickie was able to evolve her style of treatments. Her latest breakthrough is with spinal mechanics and how T1 ends up in extension disorders.
Vickie is currently turning her passion of learning anatomy and biomechanics into online clinics, this will allow other therapists and owners to benefit from her experiences. www.hails.ca is where you will find these one- of-kind clinics.
For Vickie's masters she did research on reducing adrenaline overdrive in horses. Her development of this method involved 3 years of research with 2 equine behaviorist, 1 Shamanic Practitioner and 1 hoof care specialist.
